The District of ColumbiaThe John A. Wilson Building on Pennsylvania Avenue is distinguished by its ornate Beaux Arts architecture and historic service as Washington, DC’s City Hall. Constructed in 1908, it contains grand interior spaces including the present City Council Chamber and original Commissioners’ Offices.
SPLIT CONTENT
The building had fallen into an advanced state of disrepair by the early 1990’s, when SBA was retained for a full renovation and expansion program. State of the art systems were concealed within the historic fabric, original finishes were cleaned and restored, and a major new infill was constructed within the existing light court.
