U.S. Department of State / Federal Republic of NigeriaOn the crown of a hill in the U.S. Department of State’s International Center, this new chancery building establishes a monumental presence in the center of Washington, DC´s most notable diplomatic enclaves.
SPLIT CONTENT
Drawing upon the ‘impluvium’ archetype, the design seamlessly integrates vernacular traditions of Nigerian architecture with the demanding requirements of a state-of-the-art diplomatic facility. The building program includes reception and consular office spaces, an Ambassador’s Suite, and below-grade parking. The project was designed to stringent Department of State standards.
